Microsoft Office - Tampa, Florida
This month's Tampa ASP.NET MVC Developer Meeting is all about building a rich user experience with ASP.NET MVC Web Applications.
The first half of the evening will be presented by David Hayden and focus on the following:
- ASP.NET MVC Futures Assembly
- MVCContrib
- Ajax Functionality in ASP.NET MVC
We will crack open the hood on the ASP.NET MVC Futures and MVCContrib Assemblies which included a number of HtmlHelper Extensions and MVC Controls to assist you in building the UI of your ASP.NET MVC Web Applications. In addition, we will also look at the various ASP.NET MVC Ajax Helpers like Ajax.ActionLink() and Ajax.BeginForm() that make using Ajax with your ASP.NET MVC Web Applications a snap.
The second half of the evening will be presented by Jay Kimble of the Tampa User Experience ( TUX ) Group. Jay will be showing off a mini-mint personal finance tracking application he built using ASP.NET MVC and jQuery. The application demonstrates the power of jQuery CSS Selectors, jQuery UI Components, and jQuery Ajax to provide a rich user experience in your ASP.NET MVC Web Applications.
